David Scarbeary, CFA

David has been driving Strategic Focus, Operational Innovation and Financial Growth for a breadth of enterprises from the small entrepreneur to the non-profit sector, to the Fortune 50. David is most proud of his Planning & Operations implementations of new, scalable, and efficient systems in operations, marketing, and finance while acting in small business CFO/COO role and various corporate leadership roles. David’s career accomplishments also include successful M&A transactions, crucial Business Development, and Advanced Analytics improving the Customer Experience.

David holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification and was awarded the Master of Arts (MA) in Economics by the University of Colorado. As a veteran Air Force intelligence analyst who served in the Middle East, David had the rare distinction of earning the Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal, and Air Force Commendation Medal – all in just four years. He is an avid promoter of community service previously fostering Freedom Service Dogs in training for Veterans and 22 years & counting Junior Achievement (JA) elementary classroom volunteering

In his spare time, David enjoys skiing, road cycling, and treks in the Rocky Mountains with his wife Patricia.

Hector Sierra

Hector has held a variety of positions including Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer for small law firms. He was previously with ORBA as the Chief Financial Officer where they were responsible for accounting, financial reporting/analysis, budgeting, cash flow 401k plans and payroll. Hector is most proud of streamlining financial reporting by implementing processes that ensure operational excellence and provide timely and accurate data to make informed decisions. Hector received his MBA from Thunderbird – School of Global Management and has 19+ years-experience in the legal field.

In his spare time, Hector enjoys spending time with his daughter, travelling, and running/biking on the Chicago Lakefront.

Charles Chronis

Chuck has extensive experience as an operations leader and c-suite advisor in both the Legal Services and Financial Services industries.

He has held a variety of leadership positions including Chief Operating Officer for a large personal-injury law firm where he was responsible for operational execution in Marketing, Sales, Case Management from intake to settlement, Financial Controls, Information Technology, and Human Resources.

Previously, Chuck was a managing consultant for both Big-4 and boutique advisory firms where he advised C-suite clients in the Financial Services industry on executing transformational changes across people, process, and technology.

Originally from Boston, MA, Chuck has lived in several states through New England and the Midwest. He now resides in Charlotte, NC.

Nigel Gonzalez

Nigel has held a variety of positions including Strategic Business Process Manager and Senior Sales Manager and was previously with Equifax as Global Operational Excellence Manager, where they were responsible for standing up, running and scaling global operations, KPI/OKR design and performance, quality and process engineering, continuous improvement, reporting, among others. Nigel is most proud of building the Center of Excellence that transformed the way the company serviced the internal and external clients within the B2C division. He also holds certifications in Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP, Agile Practitioner and Scrum Master.

In his spare time, Nigel enjoys spending time with his family, adventure, developing new skills and water sports, which he used to practice more back when he lived in Costa Rica, where he is originally from.

Jolene Griesse

Jolene has held a variety of positions including Paralegal and Deputy Clerk, and was previously with Clerkin, Sinclair and Mahfouz as a Paralegal where they were responsible for Litigation of Auto Subrogation Cases.  Jolene is most proud of successfully converting an entire law firm from in person appearance to zoom appearance during the pandemic.  Jolene holds a Bachelor’s degree in Legal studies and has worked for 10+ law firms throughout the state of Florida.

In their spare time, Jolene enjoys cross stitching and Jeeps. Jolene has one son, a chihuahua and a hedgehog.

Chrissie Bettencourt

Chrissie has held a variety of positions including Senior Project Manager, and a Small Business Consultant, and was previously with New Law Business Model as Chief of Staff where they were responsible for leading organizational initiatives and cross-functional teams, and successful completion of organizational goals .  Chrissie is most proud of her work in helping entrepreneurs create and structure their business and personal visions.   She has 20+ years in small business consulting, project management, operations and marketing.  She holds a business degree from the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa, as well as a certification in Digital Transformation from Columbia Business School, NYU.  

In their spare time, Chrissie enjoys hanging out with her son, cooking, baking, and spending time out in Nature.
