Erik Smelser has broad business-to-consumer and business-to-business marketing experience upon which he draws to coach the owners of small law firms to create profitable businesses.
An expert in direct-response advertising, content marketing, search engine optimization, and website analytics, Erik coach’s client firms to create the external messaging and the internal processes necessary to attract and sign ideal clients.
Erik’s background includes years as a digital, print, and broadcast executive for three of the country’s largest media companies. He also served as a digital marketing executive for LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell where he advised law firm clients on effective website conversion strategies, search engine marketing/optimization, pay-per-click advertising, and social media marketing.
Along the way, Erik has helped raise two smart, talented, and well-adjusted children of whom he is quite proud. Erik’s son attends Savannah College of Art and Design where he is pursuing a BFA in Film and Television. Erik’s daughter is a first-year student at Erik’s Alma Mater, Miami University (Ohio), where she is pursuing co-majors within the Farmer School of Business.
Erik became an avid runner in 1989. Since that time, he has logged thousands of training miles in nearly every state in the union and many foreign countries. He has finished ten marathons, several half-marathons, dozens of road races, and even a few obstacles run.
