Brian Beaumont has held a variety of law firm management positions including Litigation Paralegal Manager, Business Manager, Finance Director, Profitability Consultant, and most recently Firmwide Director of Budgeting and Strategic Financial Planning (FP&A) for K&L Gates where he was responsible for all financial analysis for a top-20 global law firm with over $1 billion in annual revenue using a dozen currencies spanning 41 cities in 16 countries. Brian is most proud of his highly complex activity-based costing and pricing analysis (aka SKU) for a $20 million electronic discovery practice area that charged clients flat fees by the megabyte. In 1987, Brian earned an MBA from Pepperdine University in a program for full-time managers while working as a Paralegal Manager at Mitchell Silberberg in Los Angeles. In his spare time, Brian enjoys food and wine, live music, whitewater rafting, long walks, growing hops and brewing fresh hop ale. He also spends time fixing up his 1906 house on Queen Anne Hill in Seattle, though he does not always enjoy it. He has been married for 40+ years and has two adult sons who have successfully flown from the nest. Trivia Fact: Brian is an audiophile with over 1,000 LPs and CDs and once worked as Technology Director for Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen’s Experience Music Project museum.
