Rick has 40 plus years of business experience, 32 of them in law firm management. He has been the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director at large firms in St. Louis, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Raleigh, and Charlotte. Prior to entering the legal industry Rick spent 11 years as an Economist and Business Manager for the City of Cincinnati and several years in sales. Rick has helped law firms develop and implement successful business strategies resulting in increased revenue streams and seamless operations. His expertise includes financial management, profitability, strategic planning, team building, and attorney and staff career development.

Rick landed his first job at the age of 12 helping the owner of a toy store assemble toys. He has been working ever since.

Rick is an alumni of Xavier University in Cincinnati. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Economics and an MBA in Finance. Rick is a CPA.

Rick and his wife Sarah have one son and two grandsons. In his spare time Rick enjoys wood- working, reading, music, riding a Harley, and sporting clays. Rick also likes to drive, fly, and pilot any type of vehicle. He has flown a B-17, a Robinson R44 helicopter, a Boeing-Stearman 75, an open cockpit bi-plane. He has operated diesel locomotives and a steam engine. Rick has also driven a stock car at Concord Mills NASCAR track.
